It’s a twofer! Two blasts from the pasts in one YouTube video.
I have fond memories of “Mario Paint.” One of which was going over to my friend Rachel’s house and creating an animation of two stick figures humping with accompanying fart noises and laughing so hard that we couldn’t figure out how to stop it from playing when her parents came upstairs to see what the hell we were doing. We weren’t allowed to play that game for awhile.
I was a huge Animaniacs fan and I rarely let anything get in the way of watching an episode after school. I remember being over at my little cousin’s house who liked Animaniacs and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The problem was, they came on at the same time. From the beginning, Brandon would watch Animaniacs then switch over to TMNT at the first commercial break thinking Yakko, Wakko and Dot were done for the day. I convinced him to stick through the commercials – which he was fine with until he flipped back over to get some Turtle Power and got nothing but the credits. BURN!
[Thanks to Ricardo for sending the video my way. May your life be filled with humping stick figures.]
I hate it when I come up with an idea, put it on the back burner and then see someone else do it. This is one of those times. The good news is, Trase- aKa Patcher aKa Tr45e, did a great job with this mod in which he replaced 1327 sounds (I’m surprised he didn’t go for 1337) in Half-Life 2 with his own vocal stylings. Pretty funny stuff.
Congratulations, PS3, for doing something really fucking cool and smart. You have earned back some of my respect. NOT ALL! But a good amount. More than a handful of respect. Maybe a couple of cups worth. But do NOT under any circumstance decide that it’s a good idea to partner with Snappy Salads and promote the Strawberry Field Special that comes with a diet soda for the “GIRLZ!” or I will personally punch every person responsible for the campaign in the nose. You’re on thin ice with me right now after that OMG PSP campaign. We may be able to work things out, but don’t push it.
This is pretty much the coolest soda display I’ve ever seen. Special thanks to Ms. Kat who sent the link my way and who also happens to be in one of my favorite bands in Dallas: Giggle Party.
There was no labor day off this year for Mr. Mike Headley – the design guru who slaved over a hot source code for hours and hours to bring us the latest and greatest Game Dame site design.
I hadn’t heard anything about “Dragon Age” until I saw this video on VG247 but it is now officially part of my Christmas wish list. The title is due out on November 3rd on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
From the official site:
Dragon Age: Origins is a dark heroic fantasy set in a unique world. As the spiritual successor of BioWare’s popular Baldur’s Gate series of games, it uses a pause-and-play tactical combat system. Play in over-the-shoulder mode, or the more tactical top-down view. Dragon Age: Origins features a stunning amount of cinematic dialog. Players will be able to acquire unique party members. These party members will have their own motivations for accompanying the player.
BioWare co-CEO Ray Muzyka describes “Dragon Age: Origins” as a ’spiritual successor’ to the “Baldur’s Gate” series, though it is not based on “Dungeons & Dragons.”
Whatever it’s based on, I’m stoked. I’ve been waiting for a game to come out featuring voice over artists that can rival those in “Heavenly Sword.”
