Got a PC? Got some music? Wanna play a game? Go download Audiosurf and check it out. Developed by Invisible Handlebar, this game combines the “hit different colored blocks as they come down the screen” thing from Guitar Hero with the “position similarly colored blocks next to each other to make them disappear and earn points” thing from Bejeweled AND adds your music collection to the mix.

When you upload a song to play, the game analyzes it and creates a track to visually represent the music. In the trial version, you can upload up to 5 songs to play from. In the full version ($9.95), you can access your entire music collection. Once the round starts, you‚Äôll control a little space dude to collect blocks of color in your little block holder thingy (official termonology) either using your mouse or arrow keys. As color clusters form, (3 or more blocks of the same color), they‚Äôre cleared from your block holder thingy and you earn points. Hooray! See it in action:

Your experience can be totally customized to suit your gameplay style. And there are tons of possibilities. Play with multi-colored blocks for higher difficulty, or limit blocks to a single color and avoid the gray blocks for a different challenge. Pick your character and unlock more in casual, pro, elite or iron modes. Pair up for a 2 player game or see how you stack up against your friends‚Äô single-player scores. As soon as you move to the #1 spot for a particular song, the previous winner will get a ‚Äútaunt‚Äù email letting them know they‚Äôve been dethroned.

If you liked playing Rez HD on Xbox LIVE, you should totally dig Audiosurf and the ability to pick your own tunes.
