I’m all about making gaming experiences more realistic and immersive, but this little masochistic contraption kind of freaks me out. Developed by TN Games, the FPS vest is available in classic black or camo and right now, you can get yours bundled with a a copy of 3rd Space Incursion (what a compelling title ) for $169. The vest hooks up to your PC and, according to their site, “is an impact-generating device designed to enable you to feel the game’s action for the ultimate gaming experience. It contains eight active zones that simulate the direction and forces of bullet fire, crushing explosions, and fear-inducing finger taps as they occur in the game.” So in other words, if your character gets capped in the back, the vest will punch you in the back in the same place at the same time. Now, I don’t think the vest is designed to cause you physical pain, just pressure, but it’s still a bit frightening. For a list of compatible games, check out TN Games website.
