Apparently, the kids in Lauderdale, Florida aren’t all that concerned about being on Santa’s good side this year. According to Local10.com, the latest crime trend is happening amongst kiddos who want the latest consoles and titles and don’t want to pay for them. The crime is simple. They go over to see a “friend”, play their games, then plot their return and steal everything.
“It’s unfortunate because a crime like that is devastating to a family, but it happens on a regular basis,” said Lauderhill police Lt. Mike Cochran. “They’ll either come back and break into your home or they’ll leave a door unlocked … and then the games disappear.”
Ahhh, America. Land of the free and home of the five finger discount.
