John P. Harvard is Master Chief in Training

Those crazy MIT kids decided to celebrate the launch of Halo 3 with a little makeover to the John P. Harvard statue. You can see it in the pic, but apparently they wrote “Master Chief in Training” on the back of the helmet and put a Beaver emblem on his right shoulder.

Here’s what the statue looks like without the helmet and rifle. Is that a lei around his neck? What’s up with that?

They did a good job. It also looks like they may have painted the statue green.
