Toon-Doku for the DS

Want to get into the Sudoku craze, but hate numbers? Due out by April 2007 for the Nintendo DS, Toon-Doku takes the challenging fun of traditional Sudoku and adds in cartoon picture-based puzzles and multiplayer competition. You can even create and edit your own images for use in puzzles and then send or trade them with other players. Play alone, or compete in three multiplayer modes that get fast and furious with the unique Distraction System you can use to thwart your opponent’s progress. Choose Your Own iPod Adventure

When I was little, I was a total book nerd. I read all the time. One of my favorite book types was the choose your own adventure (CYOA) series. Remember these? Before there were video games, there were these things called “books” and you would read them for entertainment. It’s crazy, I know. The CYOA series let you do exactly that. You’d read a little, then you’d have to make a choice: “You are standing in front of three doors. If you want to open the left door, turn to page 26. To open the middle door, turn to page 30. If you’d like to open the right door, turn to page 42.” Anyway, a friend sent me a link to this c|net Apple blog that says the CYOA series are now available for iPod download! Brilliant! Now instead of turning to a page, you just click a link. Right now, the CYOA store is offering a free download of The Abominable Snowman for PC or Mac.

Wii are Not Amused

A couple of days ago, I was playing my Wii when suddenly the screen filled with faint, pixelated, black vertical lines. About every inch, there was another one… getting in my way. I thought maybe it was the game I had in, so I took it out and reset. They were still there. I unplugged the Wii and plugged it back in. Reboot. They’re still there. This is not a good thing. I have the extended warranty, but with such a massive demand for these consoles I’m wondering how long it’s going to take them to either fix or replace mine. I’m so sad. I was worried the Wii was too good to be true… and now mine seems to be crapping out on me. Anyone else having issues?

Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding.

The day after I posted the Jack Black Mii, I got a MySpace message from Brandon Erickson, the talented dude that created him. He sent me a link to his flikr account where he’s posted two pages of celebrity Miis including the Chuck Norris one above. Check them out here.
